Badam Kheer

Badam Kheer is a healthy and delicious dessert recipe best served during Ramadan. Serve your loved ones with this healthy Iftar Item .Try out this super easy and delicious kheer recipe.

  • 5 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2-3 green cardamoms-crushed
  • 1 cup almonds-blanched
  • 1 tsp saffron
  • t tbsp ghee (optional)


  1. To make Badam Kheer -Shred 1/4 of the almonds into thin strips and grind the rest to a paste, with help of some of the milk.

  2. Cook the rest of the milk, till 2/3 remains.
  3. Add the almond paste, sugar, cardamoms,ghee and saffron.

  4. Simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer on to a serving dish, chill and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • The consistency of Kheer will turns thick when it chills.


  • If you want the liquid consistency of kheer, add 1 more cup of milk and adjust sugar accordingly.
