Onion Paratha

Onion Paratha is easy-to-make recipe which is prepared with wheat flour and chopped onion.

Ingredients to make Onion Paratha:

400 gm wheat flour

50 ml ghee

4 green chilli

2 medium chopped onion

100 ml water

For Dough
50 gm gram flour (besan)
1/2 teaspoon nigella seeds
1/3 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon thymol seeds
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
Steps:
  • To make this easy recipe, take a large bowl and add wheat flour along with gram flour in it. Mix them well.In the flour mixture, add thymol seeds, nigella seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and 3 tablespoon of ghee. Mix all the ingredients well.

    Now add in the chopped onions and coriander leaves, green chilli and mix the ingredients again. Add water and knead it into a smooth dough.

    Take a small portion of the prepared dough and roll it into a ball, dust it with dry flour and roll it into a paratha.

    Repeat the process to make paratha from the remaining dough.

    Turn on the flame and heat a tawa on medium flame. Once the tawa is heated, place the rolled paratha on it.

    Cook it for 6 to 8 seconds then flip it and apply little ghee on both sides of paratha.

    Flip it in between to cook the paratha evenly from each side.

    Take it out in a plate and repeat the process to make remaining paratha.

    The delicious onion paratha is prepared, you can serve it with chutney, pickle or raita
